Last Wednesday’s snowstorm that blanketed with the region with over a foot of snow in some places also caused a rift between a Custer County commissioner and the county’s highway department superintendent, Jess Doyle.
The storm caused the commission to delay its regular meeting that day to 10 a.m. The commission meetings normally start at 8 a.m.
Doyle had scheduled a public input meeting for the county’s five-year highway and bridge improvement plan for the same day, and it was to be at 8:30 a.m. as a part of the meeting.
