The Town of Keystone celebrated its 50th birthday with two days of festivities beginning with a parade throughout town followed by a community picnic at Watson Park June 10.
There long time Keystone families and businesses were honored with plaques.
“Families in this community were strong,” said Sandi McLain, one of the organizers of the three-day event, which included a day of flood remembrance.
The 1972 flood hit Keystone just one day after it was incorporated.
