Although dropping again to last place among six teams in the Black Hills Conference Competitive Cheer meet at Douglas High School in Box Elder on Thursday, the Wildcat cheerleaders earned their highest scores of the season just before heading to the state finals.
“The team performed exceptionally well,” said head coach Sheri Deatherage. “We had one minor fall that resulted in a deduction and moved us from fifth to sixth place.”
“We are continuing to work hard,” said Deatherage, “improving our routine as we prepare for state later this week.”
