Dennis Kinnamon

Dennis Allen Kinnamon was born May 4, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Leonard and Priscilla Kinnamon.    
Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Rose Floden July 22, 1967. Dennis and Rose were residents of Custer from 1973-87, where Dennis was a building contractor.
They moved to Texas and ranched there from 1987-98.  They then moved to Rockford, Ill., to be closer to their son and grandson, where Dennis was a superintendent of a construction company.
Dennis retired in 2005 from Ringland Johnson Construction Co. to spend all of his spare time in his shop, working on his many hot rod cars.
In 2020, Dennis and Rose moved back to Custer, S.D., with their family.
Dennis passed away Aug. 23, 2021, at Monument Health Custer Hospital. He was 76.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Steve (Kirk) Kinnamon.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Rose; son, Tim (Kellie) and grandson, Nolan; sisters, Maureen Herbert and Patty Schweglar; and brother, Mike Kinnamon.
There will be a Celebration of Dennis’ Life at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer.
