Dixie Augustine

Dixie L. (Harn) Augustine, 70, from Wagner, S.D., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was born July 6, 1955, the daughter of the late Harold L. Harn and Colleen R. (Treloar) Hicks. 
Some of the best memories of Dixie are those with family and friends visiting during Wagner Labor Day Celebrations and trips to the Black Hills. Dixie and family shared a love for fishing and spent many good times at various fishing holes in the Hills.
Like her mother, Dixie was appreciated for being a wonderful cook; her Uncle Bud never missed a chance to stop by for dinner when he was in town and always knew he was welcome.  Dixie took life’s difficulties in stride and always worked through them to a better place. We admire her strength and persistence and treasure the time we had with her.  
Dixie is survived by two sons, Jason D. James and Jeremy W. James; (step) daughters, Amanda Augustine Smith and Randa Augustine; several dear grand and great-grand children; sister-cousin, Donna Treloar; and sister-in-law, Cheri Blakeman.
Dixie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Augustine; and daughter, Stephanie R. Polzine.
No services are planned at this time, and a remembrance will be held at a later date.
