Everett Redden

Everett Lyle Redden was born April 30, 1951, in Pierre, S.D., to Everett Virgil and Arlita (Mackey) Redden. He graduated from Hill City (S.D.) High School and joined the United States National Guard.  Everett worked for Wades Gold Mill and the Burlington Northern Railroad.
Everett will be remembered as a caring father, husband, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend and cast iron chef. He enjoyed caring for family, cooking, hunting and hosting family reunions. Everett was a member of the Pringle Poacher’s Society.
Everett, of Custer, S.D., died Oct. 2, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was 69.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Redden; mother, Arlita Redden; son, Robert Redden; nephew, Kyle; and nieces, Gail and Dawn.
Everett is survived by his sons, Nick (Kari) Redden of Martin, S.D., and grandson Wyatt and family; Christopher ‘CJ’ (Sandra) Redden of Rapid City, S.D., and granddaughter, Katriana and Denzel Redden; lifelong friend, Christine Redden; siblings, Kenneth Redden and family Bernie, Kathy and Charles; Mildred Clark and family Marvin, Leroy, Clifford and Connie; Virgil Redden and family Wayne and Neil; Donald Redden and family Jerry; Teri and Darin; Audrey Smith and family Gail, Dennis, Ricky and Tamara; Alice Pierce and family Mishawn; Betty Metcalf and family Shirley, Cindy and Stacey; Roger Redden and family Kayla, Kaycee and Katie; Gary Redden; and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. 
Everett’s remains will be spread over the Black Hills at a later time. Honorary pallbearers are Everett’s brothers and sons. 
The family suggests that flowers be sent to Monument Health Home+ Home Health and Hospice House at 224 Elk Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.
