GOP platform is about capitalism

In contrast to the main tenents of the Democrat party national platform which we published last week, we’ll take a look at the main planks of the Republican party platform heading into the Nov. 3 election. Make your own decision.
• Rebuilding the economy and creating jobs. Before the virus hit early this year, the U.S. had one of the hottest economies in the history of this nation.
• Fair and simple taxes for growth. Republicans consider the establishment of a pro-growth tax code a moral imperative.
• A winning trade policy. President Trump has held nations like China accountable for past unfair trade practices and is leveling the playing field with tariffs. He aims to bring companies and jobs back to America.
• A competitive America through private investment to drive economic growth and create jobs.
• Freeing financial markets. Loans at reasonable rates based on market conditions.
• Responsible home ownership and rental opportunities.
• America on the move. Investment in transportation and other public construction. Clean water, safe roads, rail bridges, ports and airports.
• Building the future. Technology, electric grid expansion.
• Reducing the federal debt. Firm caps on future debt.
• A rebirth of Constitutional government. Continue appointments of Constitution-minded federal judges.
• Traditional marriage of a man and woman and the family is the foundation of a free society. Defend against an activist judiciary.
• First Amendment–religious liberty. Protected free speech, which is under attack.
• Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, which is also under attack.
• Fourth Amendment liberty and privacy.
• Fifth Amendment protecting human life. Affirms sanctity of human life and affirms unborn child has fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.
• Also invokes 14th Amendment, which prohibits any state from depriving any person of life, liberty or property without due process. This applies to children before birth.
• Oppose the use of public funds to promote or perform abortions or to fund organizations like Planned Parenthood, which is a misnomer.
• Honest elections and Electoral College. Oppose abolishing or distorting the latter.
• Promote all forms of energy to include oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear and hydropower.
• Balance the budget. (Good luck with that!)
• Preserve Medicare, Medicaid, save Social Security.
• Immigration and the rule of law. Must protect American working families.
• Environmental progress though private ownership.
• Education, a chance for every child, with reforms calling for choice-based, parent-driven accountability.
• Supporting our troops. Resources to do their jobs.
• Unequivocal support for Israel.
• Meeting the cybersecurity threat in an insecure world.
We would add preserve law and order to these in contrast to the Democrat party which refuses to denounce  Black Lives Matter, an organization that seeks to defund police and overthrow our system of government. It is not about equality and racial issues at all.
Our major Democrat controlled cities besieged by rioters, looters and arsonists the past few months are a testament to the lack of law and order in these places. The Democrat candidate for president has not been endorsed by one law enforcement organization we know of.
The future of our country is in your hands. Vote wisely.
