Karen Goodrich

Karen Goodrich, 86, met the goal of her faith when she went home to be with her Savior on March 25, 2025, at her family’s home in Rapid City, S.D. She was surrounded by family as the Lord peacefully called her home.
Karen was born March 27, 1938, to Robert and Leona Blackburn. She grew up in Montague, Mich., where she met her husband of 58 years, Jim. Together they raised four children and enjoyed all that life had to offer until his death in 2013.
Karen loved her family more than anything and was so proud to show them off through pictures or stories to anyone who would listen. Although she moved to Custer, S.D., in her elder years, she was never shy to talk about her deep love of Michigan and all it had to offer.
She loved bird watching, shopping, and being barefoot. But what Karen loved the most was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She shared his love and salvation message even after dementia started to take her memory from her. She had the best laugh and loved to tease and joke with people around her. She was full of life, strong and the glue that held the family together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leona; husband, Jim; siblings Donna, Peggy, Norma, Leone, MaryJane, Diane, Jo, Maxine, Bobby; grandson David; and great grandson Eamon.
Karen is survived by her children, Jim and his wife Robynne, Joe and his wife Kim, Jay and his wife Michelle, and her daughter Ann Webster and her husband Wayne; her grandchildren, Jen Gordon (Barry), Joe Goodrich (Amy), Kristie McGivern (Ryan), Chris Goodrich (Natalie), Bobby Goodrich, Jim Goodrich (Katlynn), Adrielle Goodrich, Eric Goodrich, Kate Rossmiller (Kelby), Samantha Tate (Gordon), Jeff Tate (Rebecca), Adrielle; and  numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
