Michelle Gudeta

Michelle Kristine Gudeta was born to Rick and Adriana in 1993 in California. Her family moved to Custer, S.D., when she was in second grade. After graduation, she attended college in Chadron, Neb., and lived there until now.
Michelle was known by her loyal, kind heart; her smile and sense of humor touched everyone she met. She made friends easily yet had a small circle of close friends; she was always ready to help anyone who would need it. She had a highly independent, courageous and compassionate nature and an insatiable thirst for learning and experiencing new things.
She was a well-rounded individual, high achiever in school, sports, writing, painting and music. Her passion was reading.  But more than the love for books, school, movies and sports, she loved her sons very much. She will be terribly missed.
Michelle, of Custer, passed away March 8, 2023. She was 30.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Rick; son, Omare Marcus; and grandfather, James L.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Adriana; brother, Sean; son, Yohannes James; grandma, Carol; uncles, Jim and TJ (Cindy) and a large family in Mexico City.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 15,  at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer.
Funeral services are at  2 p.m., Wednesday, March 15,  at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer, followed by committal services at Custer Cemetery.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer.
