Patricia Moore

Patricia Ann Moore was born December 16, 1931, in Gebo, Wyo., to Leo and Evangeline. She attended school in Hay Springs, Neb., and lived a number of different places throughout her life, including Roswell, N.M., Colorado Springs, Colo., Custer, S.D. and Des Moines, Iowa.
Pat loved learning new things and solving problems, and gave her all to any job she took on, including for the Army Corps of Engineers, the campaign for Barry Goldwater for president and for many years as an administrative assistant at Custer Elementary School.
In the summers she enjoyed supporting and promoting the Mountain Music Show, The Miners Music Show and the Dakota Country Music Show. She founded Golden Circle Tours in 1977, growing it from an operation of one tour van to six vans with multiple tours a day, as well as hiring out tour guides to chartered bus tours.
She was married first to Rick, and had a daughter, Angie. When Angie was 5 years old, Pat married Bob, and their marriage lasted for 57 years until his death in 2018. 
Patricia died July 11, 2020, at Arbor Springs Senior Living in Des Moines. She was 88.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby; as well as her husband, Bob.
Pat is survived by her four daughters, Angie, Tammy, Theresa and Anna; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held for family and friends at Custer Cemetery July 18.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer.
