Golf season is finally in full swing after weather postponements.
The team played in the Class B Classic in Mitchell at the Lakeview Golf Course April 24.
The Rangers went up against over 20 of the top teams in the state, in addition to a full field of 95 golfers.
Coach Josh Daiss was happy with the team’s play and the team score of 261 and a 10th place tie finish.
David Hubacher led the Rangers after carding an 83 which tied for 15th place.  Leo Daiss followed with a score of 87 in 33rd position, Zane Messick fired a 91 for 54th place and Adolph Tyer finished with a 93 in 62nd place.
“It was great to finally get on the golf course for a competitive round,” Daiss said. “I was actually pleased with the way the kids battled while not necessarily having their A games. Getting to play in a very competitive tournament with all the teams that will be at the state tournament was a great experience.”
Rangers golf has a busy week ahead of them. The team plays three tournaments in three days, finishing up at the Phillip tournament Saturday.
