Russell Dean

Russell Dean was born June 19, 1943, in Custer, S.D.
Russell was a man of many talents, logging, mining and over the road trucking, along with so many other jobs.
In his free time, Russell enjoyed pursuing his hobbies. He had a passion for antique cars and would spend hours tinkering with them, ensuring they were in pristine condition.
Russell also had a love for horses and would often be seen riding and caring for them. He also loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. His dogs, Buddy (one, and two), and cats, Lulu and Jack, were a constant source of joy and companionship and he gave them lots of love and attention.
Russell’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
Russell was a loving son and was preceded in death by his mother, Madge Burleson; his father, John Dean; brother, Walter Dean; and sister, Mariel Biggs.
Russell met Adelene Oien in 1969 and they were married one month later. They had four beautiful girls, who went on to have seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren,  which Russell loved and cherished. Russell also had many beloved nieces and nephews and was a great mentor to Walter’s sons, John, Don and Michael Dean. Adelene and Russell were best friends for 54 years.
