Where did you grow up and go to college? I grew up in Omaha Neb. and went to school at an all-boys boarding school. I graduated from Chadron State (Neb.) College and finished my Masters in History at American Public University.
How long have you been a teacher? I have been teaching for 18 years. Ten years in Wyoming and eight here in Hill City.
Why did you become a teacher? I became a teacher to work with kids. Kids keep you young and on your toes and each day provides a new experience. They are always full of energy and really want to find out who they are and what they can become.
What do you love about teaching in Hill City? My wife and I came to Hill City to be close to her family. She grew up here and we wanted our kids to do the same.
Personal info? Coaching? Family? Pets? Etc. I grew up with baseball, coached Legion baseball for six years and worked for the Colorado Rockies for four summers. I love seeing my kids enjoy baseball as well. We enjoy spending summers playing ball and traveling as much as possible.
