Hutts pile up medals at state senior games

Dan brought home a haul of medals from the South Dakota Senior Games, held Aug. 6-9 in Huron. The couple were entered in seven events and took home medals in each.
Michelle played a round robin final with the other top two women in the 70+ age group in table tennis, and all three finished with one loss. The medals were decided by point differential, whith Michelle ultimately finishing with the silver medal. She also joined forces with her husband to take the bronze medal in the 70+ mixed double table tennis.
Dan was the champion in the 75+ table tennis, while also taking bronze in the mens doubles.
On the basketball court, Dan won the silver medal in both the 75+ three-point shooting and field goals, while taking bronze in free throw shooting.
The Hutts qualified for the the national competition in every event they entered. The national competition is next summer in Tulsa, Okla.
